Terms of Service

Terms of Service — Ethan Long Design

The plain-English version of how the free page, the website build, and the monthly plans work.

Last updated October 18, 2026

Who we are

Ethan Long Design builds websites for Michigan businesses. When these terms say "I," that's me, Ethan Long. When they say "you," that's the business I'm building for.

Questions about anything here: ethanlongdesign@gmail.com.

Free Landing Page

  • One page, built once from the answers you give me.
  • No revisions or updates after it's built. If you want changes or more pages, that's what the full website is for.
  • Hosted free.
  • I may remove a page that's unused, inaccurate, or used for anything illegal or misleading.

Website build

  • A full site: services, your work, about, and contact; a page for every service and every town you cover; project photos, galleries, or a full catalog; and your own domain, set up for you.
  • The site is built for Google search (page titles, descriptions, service and town pages). Google Business Profile is not included.
  • 2 rounds of changes before launch.
  • $1,497, due at checkout.
  • Live within 48 hours after I have what I need from you.

What I need from you

Your business info, your logo, and any photos you want used. The timeline pauses until I have them.

Monthly plans

  • Hosting, $39/month. Hosting, security, backups, and a monthly report.
  • Local Partner, $297/month. Everything in Hosting, plus quarterly filming, a 30-second ad from each shoot, and a launch kit (10 logo shirts and 10 road signs).
  • The first month is free. After that, plans are billed monthly through Stripe.
  • Up to 3 small text or photo updates a month. Bigger changes are quoted separately.
  • On Local Partner, the first shoot and the launch kit start after your first paid month. Shoots are scheduled by mutual agreement.

The 30-day promise

If you ask within 30 days of launch, I'll refund the full $1,497. When a site is refunded, it comes down.

Cancelling

  • Cancel anytime by text or email.
  • Your site comes down at the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Your domain stays in your name, and I'll point it wherever you want at no charge.
  • No further work happens after you cancel.

Who owns what

You own your domain, your logo, your content, and the photos and video I shoot for you. I own the site code and the template.

Liability

My total liability is never more than what you paid me in the previous 12 months. I'm not responsible for lost business, outages at third parties (hosting, domain registrars, Stripe), or content you provide.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, I'll email active clients.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Michigan law.
